Mass Hysteria is The Order in...

In the theatre absurd of the Fascist-Islamic Regime in Iran, when a “villain” makes a mockery of “justice” and goes to the gallows wearing a mocking smile, the spectators hail the moral play, and celebrate in “mass hysteria”.” Literally the word “Hysteria” is defined, in the Oxford dictionary, as a “state of extreme excitement, fear, or anger in which a person, or a group of people” loses control of their emotions in a most bizarre manner. In such a circumstance “mass hysteria” seizes the whole of a community; it even allows a creation of situation, in which even “the educated-intelligent-sensible people” seem to lose touch with reality.

For many years, the reality in Iran has been that of societal degradation, pain, mass alienation, chaos, and at certain points, the bizarre display of “mass hysteria”. In this context, if you kindly pay attention, the aim of this note was only to shed a light on such display of uncontrolled emotions and reactions such as “public hanging” and “stoning” (that can be viewed from either a psychological or psychoanalytical, and/or from a sociopsychological points of reference), and to point out the obvious that the “public near-panic” in Iran has been as irrational and “widespread” as one could have imagined them to be.
